Bengaluru: Cocaine worth ₹58 lakh seized; drug peddler used chocolate boxes and delivery riders

Bengaluru police have arrested a 30-year-old suspect, Raju from Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly trafficking cocaine concealed in chocolate boxes using bike-based delivery services. The accused was found in possession of 116.3 grams of cocaine worth around ₹58 lakh. The police grew suspicious of frequent delivery bike visits to an apartment in the Chamarajpet area without parcels.

Upon surveillance, they noticed riders stopping near a parked car for 15-20 minutes instead of delivering packages. One rider revealed that the parcels were booked by Raju. Investigation revealed that Raju paid riders ₹50 and an additional ₹300 tip for quick deliveries. He was arrested along with the seized narcotics and car. The police are investigating the source of the cocaine, buyers, the duration of the operation, and potential links to a larger interstate drug trafficking network. They are also searching for another suspect involved in the racket.
