2 bekas Ahli Parlimen tak yakin usaha Sim ubah dasar

Bekas Ahli Parlimen DAP Kua Kia Soong and Charles Santiago have expressed doubts about Steven Sim's efforts to meet the Prime Minister to propose amendments to the foundation following the losses suffered by Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the Johor and Negeri Sembilan elections. Kua Kia Soong, the Penang DAP chairman, questioned Sim's approach to discussing reforms without thoroughly explaining the desired changes, noting that many issues, such as the government's recognition of UEC (Private School Certificate), have yet to be resolved.

Kua also criticized Sim for potentially benefiting from a vote against PH, comparing DAP's approach to MCA's during the Barisan Nasional era. Santiago, a former Klang MP, was surprised by Sim's statement as Sim is a Jemaah Menteri member and now serves as the Minister for Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives. He questioned why Sim only wants to meet with the Prime Minister after losing the elections and highlighted that many of the proposed changes are not difficult to implement, such as the minimum wage for gig workers and national school meal schemes.
