‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ star confirmed for his third Apple TV project

Actor James Marsden, known for his role as billionaire Owen Ashe in the second season of "Your Friends & Neighbors," has been confirmed for his third Apple TV production, titled "Bad News Dads." Marsden's casting was announced alongside his role in the upcoming thriller series "Disavowed," which features him as CIA Case Officer Brad Griffin.

"Bad News Dads," a mystery comedy, is based on a novel by Adam Frost and follows an inept men's baseball rec league team, where one of the players' wives dies in a suspicious accident, leading Ben (Marsden) to lead an investigation that ultimately becomes a misguided pursuit of murder. Marsden will also serve as an executive producer for the show, which is currently in development and does not have a premiere date.

"Bad News Dads" is set to be published on April 6, 2027. The Apple TV series is part of the platform's lineup, which includes hit TV shows and movies like "Severance," "The Studio," "The Morning Show," "Shrinking," and "Silo." Apple TV is available for $12.99 per month or as part of the Apple One bundle.
