Will Klein’s Season in Jeopardy as Surgery Looms

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Will Klein is reportedly considering elbow surgery, which could jeopardize his 2026 season. The right-hander, who started off strongly but then experienced a significant decline, is presently on the 15-day injured list. This decision stems from an MRI that revealed bone chips in his elbow, according to The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya.

If Klein undergoes surgery, it would likely sideline him for at least two months, potentially even three, as recovery timelines for similar injuries usually fall within that range. However, should the surgery be successful, Klein might be able to pitch during the playoffs. Nevertheless, given the uncertainty, the Dodgers' replacement options for Klein are quite robust.

With a substantial supply of pitching talent in their organization, including pitchers like Bobby Miller, Gavin Stone, and Kris Bubic, the team appears well-equipped to fill the gap left by Klein's absence.
