President Mahama nominates Zanetor Rawlings, Ayariga as Ministers of State in latest Government shake-up

President John Dramani Mahama has made another set of ministerial nominations and reassignments in a bid to bolster government efficiency and progress on crucial policies. The President's declaration, published earlier, revealed that Dr. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings, MP for Klottey-Korle, has been nominated to serve as Minister of State at the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology.

Similarly, Mahama Ayariga, MP for Bawku Central, has been chosen to head the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs. Both nominations require approval from the Parliament. The reshuffle also saw the reassignment of two incumbent ministers to different portfolios. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, formerly the head of the Ministry of Defence, now leads the Ministry of Defence.

Additionally, Ahmed Ibrahim, MP for Banda, has been given the helm of the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources. The President's decision to appoint seasoned politicians in pivotal sectors, as stated in the official release, aims to bolster the administration's developmental goals as it enters the midpoint of its term.
