Over 25% SIR enumeration forms not returned to BLOs so far

As of August 3, over 25% of the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls (SIR) enumeration forms distributed across the Hyderabad district have not been returned to Booth Level Officers (BLOs). According to District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R.V.Karnan, only 53.33% of the printed forms have been digitised. Karnan urged voters to return the filled-in forms promptly, warning that the deadline for digitisation coincides with the deadline for form returns.

Of the total 47,36,669 forms printed for the 15 constituencies, only 25,26,014 have been returned, equating to 53.33% digitisation. Karnan disclosed that 10.12% of voters have been added to the Absent, Shifted, Dead (ASD) list due to undelivered forms. The lowest digitisation rate was recorded in Malakpet at 49.7%, followed by Musheerabad at 50.12%, while Bahadurpura had the highest digitisation rate at 58.74%.

Karnan explained that some voters may have chosen to retain their existing registration, while BLOs left forms outside locked doors, preventing return. Of the 4,81,744 voters who filled out the forms online, the electoral list will not be linked with welfare schemes. The final electoral roll publication is set for October 12, with draft electoral rolls to be published on August 10, and time for claims and objections to be accepted before October 8.
