Nonthaburi school gunman’s grandparents found dead at home

A 15-year-old gunman involved in a fatal shooting at a school in Nonthaburi, Thailand, on August 7, has been identified. At least six people were killed and 22 injured in the incident, with three of the fatalities being students and three teachers. The teenager, who turned the gun on himself and died en route to the hospital, had lived with his grandfather since his parents separated when he was young.

Police found his grandparents dead at their home and are investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths. The firearm used in the shooting, a CZ weapon belonging to the gunman's grandfather, was registered and found among the teenager's belongings. Police are continuing to investigate how the young boy gained access to the weapon.
