Jharkhand students protest: JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch announces march to state assembly on Monday if demands not met

Jharkhand students have vowed to continue their protest over alleged irregularities in recruitment exams, despite negotiations with the state government. The JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch announced they would march to the state assembly on Monday if demands, including the cancellation of the 14th JPSC Civil Services Examination, are not met by Sunday.

Talks between the government and a 10-member delegation held on Friday evening resulted in assurances that demands would be considered, but students maintain they will only stop protesting once their specific demands are fully met. State Higher and Technical Education Minister Sudivya Kumar expressed the government's sensitivity to students' concerns and willingness to consider the demands sympathetically.

Another group of protesters, led by Devendra Mahto, claims to have received an invitation from the government for further talks. The 14-day protest over irregularities in the JPSC exams entered its final stages, with six protesters continuing a hunger strike. The JPSC/JSSC Reforms Manch submitted a new 10-member delegation to the government, objecting to the earlier 11-member panel.
