Industrie: Siemens erweitert Elektrik-Produktion für Rechenzentren in USA

Siemens, the Munich-based technology conglomerate, is expanding its electricity production facilities for data centers in the United States. The company announced on Friday its plans to invest over $200 million in two new factories, one located in Pendergrass, Georgia, and the other in Grand Prairie, Texas. These investments will create 1,500 new jobs.

According to Siemens CEO Roland Busch, these investments in the United States will strengthen the company's position to support the expansion of artificial intelligence and help clients create data centers that are both AI-capable and efficient, while also being resilient. In the first nine months of the year, Siemens' orders in the data center business more than doubled, reaching six billion euros.

Siemens will manufacture systems for distributing, monitoring, and controlling power supply in complex systems with high energy consumption in these new factories. This will enable clients to expand their capacities, maintain operational security, respond flexibly to changes in demand, and use energy and equipment more efficiently, the company stated in its announcement.
