How Debsirin Nonthaburi School shooting unfolded

At approximately 9:30 AM on August 7, 2026, gunshots were heard inside a school building at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Bang Kruai district, Nonthaburi province. Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene following reports of multiple injuries and fatalities. The initial reports suggested that the shooter was a student at the school.

Around 10:00 AM, officers from the Plai Bang Police Station and a special operations unit cordoned off the area. The school advised nearby parents and non-involved individuals to refrain from visiting the vicinity for safety reasons, enabling law enforcement to conduct their investigation.

By 10:15 AM, teachers and school staff began evacuating students to a secure location outside the building. Medical teams were simultaneously transporting injured individuals to nearby hospitals.

Approximately 10:30 AM, police arrived and managed to bring the situation under control. The firearm used in the shooting was identified as a CZ 75 Compact.
