Google Pixel 11 vs. Samsung Galaxy S26: APAC Price Guide Ahead of Aug. 12 Launch

Google's Pixel 11 is set to launch on August 12, but the official regional pricing remains unknown. In contrast, Samsung's Galaxy S26 already has established APAC prices. The Pixel 11's base model is reportedly priced at $899 with 256GB storage, up $100 from the Pixel 10's US launch price. Google Vice President of Devices and Services, Shakil Barkat, revealed that price adjustments will be made to the Pixel family as component costs rise due to the growing demand for AI features. However, the actual starting price of the Pixel 11 is yet to be confirmed.

Samsung's Galaxy S26 with 256GB storage and 12GB of RAM launched at around $920 in India, $1,110 in Singapore, and $1,080 in Australia. These prices, when converted from the local currencies, provide reference points for comparison. However, taxes, promotions, and regional pricing strategies can result in significantly different prices compared to a direct conversion of the rumored $899 Pixel 11 figure.

Comparing the two phones, a 256GB Pixel 11 would match the Galaxy S26's base storage, making the rumored $899 price more comparable. However, existing Pixel pricing shows that US leaks cannot be directly converted into APAC prices. Google plans to continue using discounts, trade-ins, and bundled services, while Samsung already employs similar incentives across its regional stores.

From a business perspective, organizations evaluating the two platforms must consider the different software timelines. Android 17 is available first for Pixel devices, while Samsung follows its own rollout schedule. This can impact when IT teams test line-of-business apps, validate security controls, and approve OS upgrades across managed fleets.

Samsung is already available in the APAC market, whereas Google's launch on August 12 will provide the necessary pricing and launch offers to determine if the rumored US increase applies in the region.
