Ghana EXIM Bank’s 10th anniversary CSR project transforms Hogbe Park into a modern astro turf facility

The Ghana Export-Import Bank (Ghana EXIMBank) marked its 10th anniversary with a corporate social responsibility project that has revitalized Hogbe Park in Anloga, transforming it into a state-of-the-art astro turf facility. The grand commissioning ceremony was attended by traditional leaders, government officials, and residents, highlighting the bank's dedication to community development.

Ghana EXIMBank's CEO, Sylvester Adinam Mensah, explained that the park, which has historically hosted games and events, had fallen into disrepair. To address this, the bank provided financing for an astro turf surface, recognizing Anloga's vibrant sporting culture and potential. The facility, built to international standards, will serve as a venue for league matches, tournaments, training programs, and school competitions throughout the year.

To ensure the park's sustainability, a management committee comprising members from the Anlo Traditional Council, Anlo Municipal Assembly, and various stakeholders was inaugurated. The bank took great pride in supporting Togbi Sri III, the Awoamefia of Anlo State, who played a crucial role in identifying the need and driving the project to completion.

Togbi Sri III expressed his gratitude, emphasizing that the astro turf park is an investment in the youth and the future of Anloga. As part of Ghana EXIMBank's 10th anniversary CSR initiatives, this project is poised to significantly enhance sports development in Anloga and provide a modern venue for community gatherings.
