Foundation inducts 499 education leaders

Teach For Nigeria inducted 499 education leaders into its alumni community to continue its mission of addressing educational inequality and ensuring quality education for all children. The 2026 graduating class, which includes Fellows and School Leaders, has made a significant impact in Lagos and Ogun states over the past two years.

They implemented projects focused on literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, teacher professional development, school improvement, gender equity, girls' empowerment, climate action, and youth empowerment.

The Chief Executive Officer of Teach For Nigeria, Molade Adeniyi, emphasized during the ceremony on Friday in Lagos that true leadership is not defined by titles but by the willingness to serve and confront educational challenges. She shared stories of engaged classrooms, hopeful learners, and unforgettable moments that demonstrated the transformative power of these education leaders.

Ayodele Olajiga, Co-founder and Board Member of Teach For Nigeria, reflected on the organization's journey and the conviction to address educational inequity that led to its formation. He urged the graduates to see themselves as champions, highlighting that true leadership is reflected in individuals' choices to create change despite difficult conditions. Olajiga emphasized that every number represented a unique child whose life had been transformed by the efforts of these education leaders.
