Bills Pay Out Record Contract to Protect QB Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills have made a record-breaking contract extension offer to guard Cyrus Torrence, valuing him as the NFL's 7th highest-paid guard with a four-year, $78.4 million deal that includes $46 million in guaranteed money, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. This is the third-largest contract in team history, surpassed only by quarterback Josh Allen's six-year, $330 million agreement and defensive end Greg Rousseau's four-year, $80 million deal.

Allen praised Torrence, stating that he deserves every penny and is an exceptional teammate. Torrence, a 26-year-old veteran, has excelled in his role since joining the team in 2023, starting 50 games across three seasons, recording six sacks, 127 pressures, and 113 hurries while appearing in 3,798 offensive snaps. With four of its five offensive line starters now under contract for the upcoming two seasons, Buffalo has secured significant stability at the position.

The only uncertainty remains at left guard, where competition between Austin Corbett, Alec Anderson, and rookie fourth-round pick Jude Bowry is anticipated during training camp.
