Apple Account Card Expands Again: What It Is and What It Isn't

Apple has recently extended its Apple Account Card functionality to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Malta, joining a long list of countries already supporting the feature. Introduced in 2022, the Apple Account Card is a digital card that displays the balance associated with a user's Apple Account (previously known as Apple ID). It can be used for purchases in Apple Stores, online at Apple.com, and for buying apps, subscriptions, and other services in the App Store. The card can also be topped up with a linked debit or credit card.

Distinguishing itself from the Apple Card, the Apple Account Card is purely digital and lacks a physical version, credit line, interest, or rewards. It's not a tool for sending money to friends or cashing out the balance. Currently, Apple Account Cards can be used in various Apple Stores and on Apple.com, but the availability of certain features may vary by country or region. Apple has not confirmed whether the four latest regions to adopt the Apple Account Card will have access to all its features.
