Abuja filling station fire injures three firefighters, damages FIRS office

A fire broke out at the AYM Shafa filling station in Abuja's Area 3 district on Thursday evening, around 10 p.m. As of the time of this report, the blaze continues to burn. The origin of the fire remains unknown. Firefighters from the Federal Fire Service are on-site, working to control the flames and stop them from spreading to nearby structures.

Paul Abraham, the National Public Relations Officer of the Federal Fire Service, stated that emergency personnel have been mobilized to the scene to contain the fire. Abraham expressed sympathy for those impacted by the incident, assuring residents that efforts are underway to bring the situation under control. He advised the public to stay calm and avoid the area to allow emergency responders to work unhindered.
