2 teachers reported dead at Nonthaburi school shooting

A shooting at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Nonthaburi province on Thursday morning resulted in two fatalities and 15 injuries, according to early reports. The assailant is believed to be a 15-year-old student. Police and rescue teams from Poh Teck Tung Foundation arrived at the scene following reports of gunfire around 10:30 am.

The injured, ranging from 15 to 20, included three individuals in critical condition. Two victims, identified as teachers, were pronounced dead. Rescue efforts were initially hindered due to safety concerns, but as the operation proceeded, injured individuals were evacuated and received medical attention. Students were gradually escorted out of the school as authorities secured the area.

Police maintained a presence at the scene throughout the incident. The motive behind the attack remains under investigation, and the final casualty count has not been confirmed. Authorities caution the public against livestreaming the police action to prevent interfering with the ongoing efforts to resolve the situation.
