Pakistan, 7 other Islamic countries once again condemn Israeli violations in Gaza Strip: FO

Eight Islamic nations, comprising Pakistan, Egypt, Turkiye, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, have once more denounced Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip, according to a joint declaration released by the Foreign Office on Thursday. The statement emphasized the region's ongoing humanitarian crisis, labeling it as a "clear breach of Israel's obligations under international law," as well as the 2025 conflict resolution plan proposed by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

The ministers sternly condemned Israeli violations, particularly the targeting of healthcare facilities and medical infrastructure, attacks on civilian infrastructure, and the continuous loss of civilian lives. They stressed that such violence undermines the implementation of the second phase of the conflict resolution plan, especially following Palestinian factions' acceptance of the agreement.

The statement highlighted that Israel's actions jeopardize the political process and may "reignite the cycle of escalation." The eight foreign ministers underscored that civilian protection, medical facilities, humanitarian aid, and health workers' safety are legal obligations that must not be compromised. They also noted that ongoing violations cannot be isolated from settler attacks in the Occupied West Bank, unlawful settlement expansion, and the "unilateral measures aimed at altering the 'status quo in Occupied Jerusalem'."

The Israeli government maintains its stance on the status quo, despite incidents such as last Thursday's that exacerbate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Notably, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar from Pakistan criticized Israel's actions during a ministerial conference in Amman, Jordan.
