Police in Bagan Datuk have confirmed the discovery of a 35-year-old man's body and his motorcycle submerged in a drainage ditch near KM155.7 of the Southern Coast Highway (WCE) in Ipoh, Malaysia, on Sunday. The incident came to light when a landscaper, working to cut grass, encountered an unpleasant smell and found human remains along with the motorcycle in the ditch.

The landscaper alerted authorities after noticing the odor while performing his duties. Initial investigations suggest that the victim was riding the motorcycle alone from Teluk Intan, heading towards Sabak Bernam when it veered to the left and fell into the ditch. Police statements reveal that the victim's belongings, including his passport, Malaysian ID card, and cash, were also found near the scene.

Further inquiries revealed that a police report about the missing man had been submitted by his family at the Teluk Intan Police Station on August 5th. As a result, the public has been urged to come forward with any relevant information to assist the ongoing investigation by contacting Traffic Investigation Officer Normah Abu Hassan at 010-536 4619. The case remains under investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
