Markram returns home from The Hundred for personal reasons

South African Twenty20 captain Aiden Markram has returned home from The Hundred competition for personal reasons, the English franchise Manchester Super Giants announced. Markram, who previously captained Lancashire in the first five matches of the season, scored 50 in his last match against MI London. The Super Giants expressed their appreciation for Markram's contributions during the competition.

Jos Buttler took over as captain, and New Zealand international Michael Bracewell will serve as the replacement overseas player for the remainder of the season. Markram, 31, plays for multiple Super Giants franchises in the Indian Premier League and SA20. Last month, he was named South African Cricketer of the Year.
