Margo Cilker Announces New Album Little White Cross: Hear The Title Track

Margo Cilker, the Goldendale, Washington-based singer-songwriter, has announced her long-awaited third studio album titled "Little White Cross." Cilker, whose previous releases Pohorylle and Valley Of Heart's Delight were both critically acclaimed, is set to release "Little White Cross" in October via Fossil Records. The album, which Cilker describes as a concept piece, was recorded in Lockhart, Texas with producer Bruce Robison, who has worked with artists such as Charley Crockett and George Strait.

Cilker's announcement of "Little White Cross" comes with the release of its title track, which listeners can hear below. The album features a mix of original compositions and covers that Cilker has been using to work through her own emotional pain. One of the covers included on the album is "Little White Cross," originally written and recorded by her friend Christy Hays.

The cover track sets a somber yet tender tone, with lyrics that describe a sense of loss and emptiness: "Little white cross on the side of the road/Little fake flower and a crown of gold/They were going so fast how were they to know/They'd be a little white cross on the side of the road."

Cilker's tour dates for "Little White Cross" include stops in Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and California.
