Le Court wins stage six of Tour after mechanical failure

Kimberley Le Court of AG Insurance-Soudal secured victory in stage six of the Tour de France Femmes, overcoming a mechanical issue that nearly derailed her attempt. The Mauritian cyclist had previously crashed early in the stage and was forced to switch to a new bike just 15 kilometers from the finish line. Le Court skillfully navigated a small eight-rider breakaway group, which included French rider Cedrine Kerbaol, as they approached the final climb, 10 kilometers from the finish.

With just over three minutes remaining, Le Court unleashed a powerful sprint, edging out Kerbaol at the finish line. Puck Pieterse of the Netherlands claimed third place. Swiss rider Marlen Reusser of Movistar maintained her overall lead in the Tour de France Femmes, holding a 12-second advantage over Dutch rider Demi Vollering after completing the 153.4-kilometer stage from Montbrison to Tournon-sur-Rhone.

This marked Le Court's second stage win in the women's Tour de France, following her success in stage five the previous year.
