Inside Simmons’ new sleep gallery at Changi City Point

Simmons, the leading mattress brand, has opened its largest showroom in Singapore at Changi City Point. The new gallery, designed with a coastal living concept, showcases the brand's widest range of mattresses, bedding, and accessories. According to Kazuhiro Futatsuya, Simmons' president and CEO for Asia, consumers in Southeast Asia are increasingly investing in quality mattresses due to growing awareness of the importance of rest.

The gallery features Simmons' made-in-Japan BackCare e-Ion Series and Beautyrest collections, alongside a comprehensive range of bedding and lifestyle accessories. The brand's Original Pocketed Coil technology, used in many of its mattresses for over a century, allows each coil to respond independently to pressure, supporting spinal alignment and reducing motion transfer.

This "do-not-disturb" benefit is particularly beneficial for couples with different sleep habits. The mattresses undergo rigorous testing, including the Cornell University Indentation Test and a rollator test, to ensure durability and structural stability. Simmons fully imports its mattresses from factories in Japan, China, and Thailand, maintaining strict quality assurance standards.

The new showroom, located near Expo MRT station, offers a sunlit home by the sea ambiance with wave-like architectural details and recreates the comfort of a luxury hotel stay. The Beautyrest Signature Collection, inspired by Sentosa's coast and Singapore's waterfront, uses Simmons Original Pocketed Coil technology combined with CoolGel foam, latex, Tencel fibres, and Seaqual fabric made from ocean plastic.

Futatsuya emphasized that Simmons' innovation focuses on meaningful engineering and Japanese quality craftsmanship to improve sleep quality. Visitors can explore the coastal living-inspired space and mattress collections at the opening, with exclusive specials available until August 16.
