Industrie: Siemens macht mehr Gewinn und erhöht die Prognose

Siemens reported stronger business in the third quarter of its fiscal year, earning significantly more than the previous year and raising its forecast for the current year. After taxes, the company made a profit of 2.58 billion euros from April to June, which is around 16% higher compared to the same period last year. Siemens CEO Roland Busch stated, "We have completed another very successful quarter" and added, "We are on track for another successful fiscal year and have raised our outlook."

For each share, Siemens now expects a profit between 11.20 and 11.50 euros, up from the previous range of 10.70 to 11.10 euros. Adjusted for the entire company, this could mean hundreds of millions of euros more. The order intake also rose by 13% to nearly 28 billion euros, a record high and well above the 21 billion euros recorded earlier.

This, along with a record 132 billion euro order backlog, contributed to Siemens Healthineers' profitable separation. The company plans to halve its 2/3 stake in Siemens Healthineers by issuing shares to existing shareholders, a move with significant tax implications. However, Siemens seems to be navigating these issues successfully: "As expected, we have been able to finalize the relevant tax matters with the financial authorities in order to proceed as planned with the separation of Siemens Healthineers," said Finance Board member Veronika Bienert.

The main shareholder meetings for both companies are scheduled for February 2027, where Busch and Bienert plan to step down from the Healthineers Supervisory Board. The Industrial Digitalization sector, the last to underperform, saw a 44% increase in profit to 923 million euros. Smart Infrastructure grew by 19%, reaching a record sales figure driven by the AI boom.

Siemens CEO Busch noted that the data center business, in particular, showed tremendous dynamism. Mobility, part of the Mobility sector, earned 280 million, slightly less than last year.
