Ghana midfielder Iddrisu Baba joins Partizan Belgrade on loan from Almería

Ghana international midfielder Iddrisu Baba has successfully completed a loan transfer to Serbian club Partizan Belgrade, marking a significant move from his previous Spanish team, Almería. The 30-year-old defensive midfielder is joining Partizan under a deal that includes an option to extend the arrangement permanently. Baba, renowned for his defensive prowess, ball-winning skills, and tactical discipline, has had a distinguished career primarily in Spain, where he played a crucial role in Mallorca's promotion to La Liga.

Before moving to Almería, Baba enjoyed a notable stint in Mallorca, where his contributions were pivotal in the team's rise to the top tier of Spanish football. His experience, physicality, and reliability in midfield have made him a dependable player for both club and country, as evidenced by his regular appearances for the Ghana national team.

During his time at Almería, Baba made 22 league appearances, contributing with one assist while clocking up 1,479 minutes of action in the 2025/26 season.
