Framewerx acquires AD Micro Technology to widen its AI-driven managed services

Information technology consulting and managed services provider Framewerx Inc., based in Edmonton, Alberta, has acquired AD Micro Technology Inc., a managed IT services firm founded in 1992 and based in Richmond, British Columbia. The deal, with terms not disclosed, brings Framewerx a second regional base on the West Coast and additional staff, as well as the ability to offer a broader range of services to both customer bases.

Framewerx sells managed IT, cloud hosting, and cybersecurity solutions to small and mid-sized organizations, and builds custom applications, including its platform for steel fabrication and construction firms, Fabwerx. Framewerx plans to integrate AD Micro's hands-on operations work with its own automation software, Neuralwerx, an AI-powered help desk and security platform.

Median first response time for Neuralwerx is 3.6 minutes, with 92% of tickets resolved within 15 minutes. The acquisition is part of Framewerx's long-term vision to scale as customers increasingly seek assistance with AI governance. AD Micro founder Kimson Dy Ning stated that selling to a larger organization allows the company to scale its foundation without changing the services customers receive.

AD Micro will continue to operate under its own brand during the transition, and Framewerx plans to absorb the staff by the end of the year, increasing company headcount by 30%.
