‘Done deal’ for Real Madrid, RB Leipzig for Yan Diomandé

Yan Diomandé is set to join Real Madrid from RB Leipzig in a transfer deal that has now been confirmed as complete. According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, the 19-year-old winger will be moving to the Santiago Bernabéu for a guaranteed fee of €125 million, with potential add-ons bringing the total to €135 million. If we factor in difficult-to-achieve bonuses, the overall package could reach €140 million.

The player will sign a contract with Real Madrid that is valid until 2031, but with an additional year added to the agreement. It appears that the deal was always on the table, with the final steps taking time to be finalized. Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano also reported on the agreement, noting that Real Madrid has now also agreed to extend Diomandé's contract by a year, with the deal being approved by the player's legal team and set to be valid until June 2032.

The transfer speculation had been ongoing for a few days, and now it seems that the mega-move is on its way to completion.
