Dodgers Reveal When Blake Snell Will Return To Rotation

The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently experiencing a six-game losing streak, but they are set to receive a significant boost to their rotation. After acquiring Tarik Skubal from the Detroit Tigers, it was announced that Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell will return for the next homestand. Manager Dave Roberts confirmed on Wednesday that Snell will start next week once he feels ready after his recent rehab assignments.

Snell underwent elbow surgery earlier this year to remove loose bodies and has made only one start this season, giving up four earned runs. However, last season he posted an impressive 2.35 ERA in 11 starts and was dominant in the postseason, including a scoreless inning in Game 7 of the World Series. With Ohtani currently unavailable, the Dodgers' rotation will consist of Skubal, Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Roki Sasaki, Justin Wrobleski, and Eric Lauer.

Snell has completed four rehab appearances so far, allowing four earned runs and striking out 19 over 7 2/3 innings. His last outing was not as strong, with three earned runs and five hits surrendered in Salt Lake City. Nonetheless, Snell's return is expected to be a major positive for the Dodgers as they work to climb out of their current slump.
