UK’s Burnham considers inquiry into Epstein, says minister

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham is contemplating the possibility of conducting an inquiry into the notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his dealings within the UK, according to Victims Minister Alex Davies-Jones. Davies-Jones confirmed this to the BBC, stating that Burnham will be meeting with Epstein's victims. A public inquiry may follow this initial meeting.

The minister explained that they are exploring the potential for such an inquiry and assessing its feasibility. British law enforcement is currently probing various allegations against Epstein, including charges of child sex abuse, trafficking women at UK airports, and misconduct in public office. Moreover, Davies-Jones hinted at the inquiry potentially extending to examine the actions of late Egyptian billionaire Mohamed al-Fayed, another individual who has been accused of rape and sexual assault by multiple victims.
