UC basketball finishes Bahamas trip blowing out Calgary

The University of Cincinnati men's basketball team concluded its August exhibitions in the Baha Mar Summer League in The Bahamas with a dominant 107-66 victory over Calgary on August 5. UC trailed by 42 points at halftime but exploded for 56% shooting from the three-point line, converting 20 of 36 attempts. Senior Myles Colvin led the way with seven three-pointers and 25 points in just 19 minutes.

Head coach Jerrod Calhoun commended Colvin's offensive production and praised the team's depth, noting that no single player would carry the entire offense. The Bearcats pulled down 43 rebounds compared to Calgary's 24, and improved their free-throw shooting from 11-for-13 for 85% by the end of the game. Despite a lackluster defensive effort in the second half, UC forced 32 turnovers and scored 49 points off those, while leading the fast break points with a 27-0 advantage.

The Calgary Dinos, playing their third exhibition that summer, had lost to Purdue and Marquette earlier in the summer. UC's next stateside exhibition is scheduled for October 7 against Ohio State.
