Two of Ring’s latest video doorbells are a lot cheaper than usual

Ring, the popular video doorbell manufacturer, is currently offering two of their most versatile models at discounted prices. The battery-powered Battery Doorbell Plus and the hardwired Doorbell Pro are both seeing significant markdowns, making them more affordable than ever.

The Doorbell Pro, which typically costs $249.99, is now available for $199.99 at both Amazon and Best Buy, a $50 discount. Similarly, the Battery Doorbell Plus, usually priced at $179.99, is on sale for $119.99 at the same retailers, a $60 reduction. These deals represent the second-best prices ever recorded for these products, just $20 shy of their Prime Day lows.

While both models share similar core features such as providing a full view of your doorstep, motion detection, two-way communication, and color night vision, they differ in important aspects. The wired Doorbell Pro offers superior 4K video quality and can automatically respond with pre-recorded messages upon visitor arrival. In contrast, the Battery Doorbell Plus, operating on 2K resolution, does not possess this automatic response capability.

Ring offers additional features through monthly and annual subscription plans. For $4.99 per month, customers gain access to more precise alerts, such as individual person, package, and vehicle notifications. Upgrading to the $19.99 Ring Pro plan provides advanced AI capabilities, including facial recognition and text-based summaries of activity, all of which are free for the first month.

Additionally, both doorbells are compatible with Amazon Alexa, enabling live video viewing on Echo Show smart displays and audible alerts when someone rings the doorbell.
