This Is Lorelei Releases Second Single “Oh No Now My” From Upcoming Album

Sole performer Nate Amos of the project This Is Lorelei has unveiled the second track from his forthcoming album, The Singer in My Band, titled "Oh No Now My." The track can be streamed below. "Oh No Now My" features Amos layering vocal harmonies at the level of The Beach Boys over low-tuned indie rock guitars to produce a melancholic song that emphasizes the emotion conveyed by the lyrics over their literal interpretation.

The artist's use of the word "miss" in the lyrics, as seen in lines such as "Joey I wish you didn’t make me miss so much" and "Joey I don’t wanna let you miss so much," contributes to the song's emotional depth. Amos continues to employ a recurring character, similar to the one in his previous single "Billy Came Back," to amplify the sentiment.

In a statement, Amos explained, "‘Oh No Now My’ is a song that ate itself — there were three versions of it before it landed here, where it has nothing in common with the original. I think it’s good but it’s hard to sing." The Singer in My Band is set to be released on September 11th through Matador Records. Pre-orders for the album are available at this link.
