The 2026 American Legion Baseball Northeast Regional tournament schedule

This week, six American Legion Baseball teams from across the northeast are converging on Shrewsbury for the Region 1 Northeast Regional Tournament, set to take place at Fitton Field from August 6-9. The double elimination tournament will culminate in one regional champion advancing to the World Series in Shelby, North Carolina from August 13-18. Defending champions, Greece, New York, Post 468, will host the event.

On Thursday, August 6, the first three games of the tournament will be played. Essex Post 91 will face off against Cumberland Post 14 at 11 a.m., while Bedford Post 54 takes on Franklin Post 75 at 2 p.m. The final match of the day will see Sanford Post 19 contesting against Shrewsbury Post 238 at 6 p.m.

Friday, August 7, will feature elimination games. In the morning, the loser of Game 1 will take on the loser of Game 2 at 11 a.m., followed by the winner of Game 1 facing the loser of Game 3 at 2 p.m. The afternoon games will see the winners of Game 2 and Game 3 contest at 6 p.m.

If the Game 1 winner wins Game 5, Saturday, August 8, will see Games 7 and 8 take place. The winner of Game 4 will battle the loser of Game 6 at 10 a.m., followed by a clash between the winners of Game 5 and Game 6 at 9:30 a.m., with the ultimate showdown being the winner of Game 7 versus the loser of Game 8 at 12:30 p.m.

Conversely, if the Game 3 loser emerges victorious in Game 5, Saturday will see a different set of games. The winner of Game 4 will take on the winner of Game 5 at 10 a.m., while the loser of Game 5 will face the loser of Game 6 at 9:30 a.m. The final game of the day will be the winner of Game 6 versus the winner of Game 7 at 12:30 p.m.

World Series bound teams will face off on Sunday, August 9, with Game 10 set to commence at 1 p.m., followed by Game 11 if necessary at 4 p.m.
