Telangana BJP to take Congress govt.’s ‘anti-people policies’ to voters in MLC, civic polls

The Telangana BJP plans to highlight the Congress government's alleged shortcomings and anti-people policies during the upcoming Graduate MLC and Municipal Corporation elections, according to a party spokesperson. N.V. Subash, a spokesperson for the BJP, attributed the party's stance to the belief that Telangana would only benefit under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

He criticized the Congress government for "severely deceiving" the people and accused it of failing to deliver on its election promises. Subash pointed out that 30 months into power, the government led by Revanth Reddy has yet to fulfill its electoral commitments. He specifically highlighted the plight of unemployed youth and students who have been adversely affected by the non-release of ₹14,000 crore in fee reimbursement dues and the lack of a job calendar, which has caused hardship to nearly 22 lakh students and their families.

The BJP spokesperson further alleged that the government disregarded High Court orders to release the promised fee reimbursement funds. Additionally, Subash accused the government of neglecting the State's development and Hyderabad, dubbing the capital a "futureless city." He questioned the frequent foreign visits by the Chief Minister and challenged the government to release a White Paper outlining the investments brought into the State.
