PSG set sights on signing £75m-rated Chelsea star

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea star Malo Gusto, according to The Sun. The 23-year-old Moroccan defender's contract at Chelsea does not expire until 2030, making a move somewhat challenging. However, PSG's manager Luis Enrique has indicated his approval for a potential transfer. The Premier League club is seeking a £75 million fee to facilitate Gusto's departure.

Gusto has been a key player for Chelsea since his arrival from Lyon in 2023, making 134 appearances and contributing 3 goals and 17 assists in total. With Reece James and Marco Palastre already in Chelsea's ranks, Gusto might find it difficult to secure regular first-team football next season. Furthermore, Chelsea are currently complying with financial regulations by offloading players, which could potentially make Gusto a target for sale before the end of the transfer window.

Recently, Chelsea has been active in the transfer market, signing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for £117 million and Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace for £52 million. Alongside these moves, they have also secured the services of Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson.
