Pro-Palestinian progressive Abdul El-Sayed wins Michigan's Democratic Senate primary

Abdul El-Sayed, a progressive and pro-Palestinian former health official from Detroit, is currently leading in Michigan's Democratic Senate primary election, defeating centrist Democrat Haley Stevens. This victory positions El-Sayed as the first Muslim to serve in the US Senate if he is elected in November.
