Obasanjo, Ekeh support Charly Boy’s health campaign

Nigerian entertainer and commentator Charly Boy has garnered backing from influential Nigerians, such as former President Olusegun Obasanjo and technology entrepreneur Leo Stan Ekeh, as he champions prostate cancer awareness through his foundation, disclosed at the launch of his memoir, 999: The Memoir of Charly Boy. During the unveiling ceremony at the Alliance Française de Lagos/Mike Adenuga Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos, the entertainer merged the book release with a fundraising drive for prostate cancer awareness.

Attendees included prominent figures like former Commonwealth Secretary-General Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Anambra State ex-governor Peter Obi, and broadcaster Bisi Olatilo. Charly Boy appreciated Ekeh for inspiring him to transform his activism into a structured initiative aimed at serving humanity, specifically through prostate health advocacy.

Ekeh praised Charly Boy's ability to communicate with people, acknowledging his potential as a leading marketing consultant. Former Nigerian President Obasanjo shared his admiration for Charly Boy, which stemmed from his respect for his family, particularly his late father, a respected jurist. The memoir details Charly Boy's life experiences, from his privileged background to his impact on Nigeria's cultural scene.
