Now PKR’s Ampang MP barred from accessing govt fund portal

Pakatan Harapan (PKR) member of Parliament (MP) Rodziah Ismail has been barred from accessing the MyKhas portal, which administers special funding for constituencies, according to her statement. She first noticed the issue on July 29. The Ampang MP, who remained a PKR member and had not opposed any government policies, expressed her perplexity over the government's decision.

Rodziah was the third PKR MP to face this restriction, following Subang MP Wong Chen and Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung, both of whom attended the inauguration of Bersama, a party launched by former PKR leaders Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim had initially dismissed the matter, suggesting that constituency funds could be "directly provided to the rakyat" without involving MP intermediaries.

Rodziah had provided the PKR disciplinary board with a written explanation regarding her attendance at Bersama, but the party has yet to respond to her. She questioned why she was denied access to funds for her constituency when Barisan Nasional MPs who have criticized the government continue to receive it. Despite her predicament, Rodziah pledged to continue her efforts to serve the people of Ampang.
