Neuraspace lands €15.6M to expand AI space intelligence platform

Neuraspace, a Portuguese space technology firm, has recently secured €15.6 million in financing to bolster its AI-driven Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Space Traffic Management (STM) platforms. The funding, a mix of strategic private investment from Lince Capital, Explorer Investments, and Armilar Venture Partners, along with appropriations under Portugal's Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), aims to advance the company's AI-powered platform.

Founded in 2020 by Chiara Manfletti, Neuraspace's technology unites sensor data with high-precision orbit determination, AI risk assessment, and autonomous decision support to tackle growing operational and security challenges in the expanding space environment.

As satellite operators grapple with increased collision risks, cyberattacks, GNSS spoofing, radio-frequency interference, and sophisticated counterspace activities, Neuraspace's mission has evolved to not only enhance space safety but also respond to deliberate threats, blurring the line between safety and security. CEO Chiara Manfletti emphasizes the company's commitment to bolstering Europe's sovereign capabilities in space domain awareness while delivering AI-enabled operational services for commercial, institutional, and defence missions.

The investment will bolster Neuraspace's commercial and defence capabilities by advancing its AI platform, accelerating autonomous mission operations, and enhancing proprietary optical sensing infrastructure. Additionally, it will support the development of NeuraspaceDEF, a dual-use solution catering to government and defence customers.
