Man and woman found dead in suspected murder-suicide

A 23-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man were discovered dead at a property in Charleville, Queensland, following a violent crime scene. Police withdrew from the scene around 6pm yesterday after reports of a serious assault. The toddler present at the scene was not injured. The relationship between the deceased and the cause of their deaths are yet to be determined.

Assistant Commissioner Matthew Vanderbyl stated that the situation turned violent and threatening quickly, leading to the withdrawal of police to a safe location. Negotiators were called, and specialist teams from Brisbane were activated. The bodies were found shortly after 1am on the following day. The investigation is ongoing, with police cautioning against speculating about the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
