Kerjasama politik sentiasa hadir dengan kompromi, kata Nik Nazmi

Pemimpin Bersama, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, has stated that political cooperation with other parties, especially those with significant influence, is typically always necessitates compromises. This was conveyed through a post on the social media platform Threads, where Nik Nazmi noted that compromises extend beyond political matters to fundamental aspects, potentially undermining the principles of a particular party.

He emphasized that this is one of the reasons why many Malaysian citizens view politics in a negative light. Former PKR deputy president Nik Nazmi also referenced political analyst and FMT columnist Tajuddin Rasdi's recent comments regarding the New Vision Party (Wawasan)'s victory in the Negeri Sembilan PRN on August 1st. Tajuddin suggested that younger parties should join stronger and more influential parties.

However, Nik Nazmi questioned which party Tajuddin meant for Bersama to cooperate with, given the party's recent performance in Negeri Sembilan as opposed to Johor. He also questioned whether a new coalition of BN-PN would be the ideal partner for Bersama, given internal disagreements within that alliance. Nik Nazmi further criticized Pakatan Harapan (PH) for being "too slow" in implementing the promised institutional and economic reforms.

According to him, Nik Nazmi and his fellow Bersama leader Rafizi Ramli did not establish Bersama to gain additional positions but rather to champion reform and offer an alternative. He concluded that the most influential partner any political party should seek is not another political party, but the Malaysian people themselves.
