Here's five UConn football storylines heading into fall camp

Five storylines are shaping up as UConn football prepares for fall camp. First is the arrival of Jason Candle, who brings a winning track record from Toledo to the Huskies. Candle's tenure at Toledo saw two MAC championships, seven bowl trips, and a decade without a losing season, along with the development of 34 NFL players. The second storyline revolves around UConn's quarterback competition, which features four players vying for the starting position.

Current UConn starting quarterback Kalieb Osborne has shown his dual-threat capabilities under Candle in college, while redshirt freshman Jake Merklinger and redshirt junior Tucker McDonald also bring notable skills to the table. The third storyline centers on the defensive lineup, with Candle adding a strong presence of defensive talent from Toledo, including all-conference linebacker K'Von Sherman, defensive lineman John Lista, and linebackers Esean Carter and Zakaih Saez.
