Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, has stated that corruption is a significant factor hindering Nigeria's progress in addressing economic and security issues. In a speech at the Arewa Awareness Summit on Unity Against Insecurity in Kaduna State, Adebayo emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, and integrity within the public service.

He argued that with the right leadership and governance, Nigeria's challenges, including insecurity and poverty, can be overcome within a few years. Adebayo highlighted the potential of Northern Nigeria's human and natural resources, urging leaders to harness these assets for the benefit of the people. He also called for increased investment in agriculture and education, asserting that these sectors are crucial for employment, food security, and overall national development.
