CM Vijay inaugurates projects completed in the Nilgiris

On Tuesday, Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay inaugurated projects in the Nilgiris through a video-conference. The projects, valued at ₹90.91 crore, were completed by the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department. These included drinking water improvements under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme in Kotagiri, 164 new apartments in Naduhatty, and 152 apartments in Cherangode.

The houses were built at a cost of ₹22.16 crore and ₹18.92 crore respectively, as reported by the district administration. Additionally, the Chief Minister opened a new center of excellence at the Government Polytechnic College in Udhagamandalam, costing ₹7.14 crore. Following the inauguration, District Collector Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru inspected newly built houses in Naduhatty, where an event marked the projects' completion.

The next day, Tanneeru visited the Muthanadu Mund tribal hamlet in Hullathi village panchayat to inspect 11 houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Janmam Scheme, costing ₹5.73 lakh each. She also toured the local village panchayat office to evaluate the implementation of various public welfare schemes in the village and visited the Government Primary Health Center at Kalhatty, where she assessed its operations.
