After a week with Gemini Notebook on my Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, I can’t imagine using it on a slab phone

During my week using Gemini Notebook on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, I found that I couldn't imagine using it on a regular slab phone. Gemini Notebook has become one of the apps I use more than anything else for various tasks like research, studying, or making sense of PDFs. While it worked perfectly well on a phone, the larger display on the Fold made a significant difference.

The app now has space to spread out, allowing me to see everything I'm working with, and my source material stays open alongside Gemini's responses and key points. This setup enables me to read through multiple sources and ask follow-up questions without losing my pace. Samsung's multitasking features also became crucial, as I can keep various apps open side by side and drag information directly into Gemini Notebook.

The Audio Overviews feature, which I already enjoyed, feels even more satisfying on the larger display, with the AI host's responses feeling more human and engaging. I found myself spending less time managing windows and more time learning. Additionally, I wasn't reaching for my laptop as often, as the Fold handles my everyday research so effectively.

Having Gemini Notebook pre-installed made sense after using it daily, as Google is making Gemini a bigger part of Android, and Samsung's foldables showcase this vision best. The larger display provides the space needed, making Gemini Notebook feel like a genuine productivity tool. Samsung sweetens the deal with a six-month trial that unlocks higher Gemini generation limits and larger source caps.

For those who rely on Gemini Notebook for studying, work, or research, it's a useful bonus. However, the biggest change is how it has transformed my work. Whether I'm collecting research, dragging in web clips, or listening to Audio Overviews while taking notes, I can comfortably do everything from the Fold's larger display. It no longer feels like forcing desktop-style work onto a phone; instead, it feels like the phone has caught up with how I actually work.

After a week of using Gemini Notebook on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, opening it on a regular slab phone seems like an incomplete task. Once you've experienced the extra room, returning to the limited space feels incredibly restrictive.
