Abia NSCDC seeks tech professional upgrade

A five-day workshop for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) personnel in Abia State concluded with a renewed emphasis on upgrading technical skills and knowledge. The workshop, themed 'Technological Advancement in Security Management, Intelligence, Investigation, Prosecution, Threat Communication Networks', also covered rules of engagement, weapon handling, and discipline.

Governor Alex Otti, represented by his Special Adviser on Security Matters, acknowledged the importance of integrating modern technologies in security management, stating it is now mandatory to address security deficiencies. Commandant General NSCDC, Prof Ahmed Audi, highlighted the sensitive nature of the personnel's role, urging them to uphold safety, peace, and orderliness.

The State Commandant, Mr Chukwuemeka Odimba, stated the workshop aimed to provide personnel with contemporary security strategies and modern operational techniques in various security management areas.
