Xbox's free 25th anniversary gifts include a dynamic theme and avatars

Microsoft's Xbox is commemorating its 25th anniversary with a series of free gifts for players. In addition to the coveted 25th anniversary badge, available to those who log in on console, PC, or the mobile app, Xbox has partnered with creators Klobrille and Ben Kenobi to offer unique gamerpics, themes, and dynamic backgrounds. Console users can select these designs through Settings > Profile > Customize profile, while on PC, the options can be found under Settings > General > Personalization > My background > Dynamic background.

Game Pass is also spotlighting classic titles from the last 25 years, including Fable Anniversary, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Fallout 4, and Psychonauts 2. These offerings were announced following a series of job cuts and canceled projects, signaling a mixed sentiment among Xbox fans. The freebies will be rolled out in waves leading up to the official anniversary celebration on November 15.
