Trump insists Iran talks under way, warns Tehran’s ‘last chance’ to secure deal

President Donald Trump claimed that direct negotiations with Iran are currently underway, cautioning that this is Tehran's "last chance" to reach a deal and end the ongoing war. However, Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei denied any direct talks with Washington, stating that discussions over the management of the Strait of Hormuz continue under the mediation of Oman.

Pakistani and Qatari negotiators are reportedly seeking to finalize a meeting date and location. Meanwhile, the top military adviser to Supreme Leader of Iran, Mohsen Rezaei, warned that continued American naval blockade on Iranian ports could lead to "serious risks and casualties" for American vessels and forces. Rezaei added that the US must change its behavior or face Tehran's refusal to permit a second corridor in the Strait of Hormuz.
