British actor Tom Holland and American actress Zendaya have become the most bankable box office couple in Hollywood after their collaborative films, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey, achieved unprecedented success. The Spider-Man: Brand New Day opened worldwide with an impressive $927 million, making it the second highest opening of all time globally, behind Avengers: Endgame.

It also shattered records in Australia, with a $30.4 million opening weekend, marking the biggest opening in the country's 100-year history at Sony Pictures. Both films have received high acclaim from critics and audiences, with Rotten Tomatoes giving Spider-Man: Brand New Day a 90% critic rating and 98% audience rating.

The Odyssey had Universal's highest-grossing opening weekend for an R-rated film, reaching $41 million in its third week of release, and is fast approaching the $1 billion mark worldwide. Zendaya plays the Goddess Athena alongside Holland, who portrays Odysseus. The married couple has kept their private lives discreet, but recently, Zendaya was seen wearing a diamond ring at the Golden Globes, sparking engagement rumors.
