Qatar’s Ansari: Efforts are ongoing to seek diplomatic solution in US-Iran conflict

Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majed Al Ansari, announced on Tuesday that ongoing efforts are being made to negotiate a diplomatic resolution between the United States and Iran. Ansari emphasized the importance of resuming negotiation talks. Additionally, Ansari confirmed that mediators, including Pakistan and Oman, are coordinating closely to facilitate these negotiations and exchange drafts between the two parties.

This announcement led to a decline in oil prices, with the WTI Oil price falling 0.4% to approximately $78.50. WTI Oil, also known as West Texas Intermediate, is a high-quality crude oil traded on international markets. Various factors, such as global growth, political instability, OPEC decisions, the US Dollar's value, and weekly Oil inventory reports, influence its price.

The EIA's data, considered more reliable, gets released the day after the API's report. OPEC's decisions to adjust production quotas can also affect WTI Oil prices. In other currency news, the British pound faced selling pressure against the US Dollar during Tuesday's European trading session, trading around 1.3420, while the Euro showed slight gains against the US Dollar due to hopes of a negotiating process in Iran and cautiousness before the release of US labor indicators.
